（１）One of the biggest problems with modern computers is that they follow all commands mechanically. Computers do what they are told to do, whether we meant it or not. Moreover, they cannot turn themselves on, nor can they ever begin something entirely new on their own.

（１）現代のコンピューターの最も大きな問題の１つは、あらゆるコマンドに機械的に従ってしまうことだ。私たちが意図したことであるかどうかとは無関係に、コンピューターは言われた通りに実行する。しかもコンピューターは自分で自分を起動することができないし、完全に新しいことを自分で始めることは絶対にできない。
