Five years ago, barbershops near the Yale campus (A)had their share of regular student customers. Today long hair and jeans have replaced neatly groomed hair and ties for many Yale students, and campus barbers have come upon hard times.
‘At one time you’d see a good-looking, well-dressed boy on the street and you’d say, “There’s a Yale man.” Now you recognize them by the (B)opposite appearance,’ says Joe LoPresti, a barber at Phil’s barbershop near the campus.
